Nagy BarbaraBarbara Nagy (1976)
She graduated as a painter from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, from Dóra Maurer’s class. She is a member of the Vajda Lajos Studio of Szentendre.

Since 2002, she has carved several Light Pictures in wooden boards, in which the rhythmically divided, erratically whirling network of lines is highlighted by the contrast of light and shadow. Paradoxically, it is carving that converts the all absorbing black wooden board into a light-trap. Her panel paintings, which look different from every angle, record “the time and a state of being”.
