Career
1945 founds the artistic group, the European School
1947 witnesses the second surrealistic world expo in Paris
1958 Jerusalem Bible published with more than a thousand of his illustrations
1959 paints his most acclaimed paintings (the Miraculous Fishing, the Dream in the Public Park and I Walked Here Sometime I-II)
1960s to 1970s the epic nature of his painting is replaced by the depiction of motifs of symbolic value growing increasingly macabre and grotesque
1970s to 1980s numerous writings and memoirs documenting his life published
